Rule Breaker
One of my favorite things about fashion is that you can do whatever you want with it. You can choose to follow the trends, or keep things classic. You can even go as far as breaking those fashion rules you were taught as a kid!
You all know the "rules" of fashion. Don't wear black and blue together. Don't mix prints. Match your accessories. Avoid horizontal stripes, as they make you look bigger. "Flood pants", as my mom called them, look funny. And, of course, don't wear white after Labor Day.
Of all of the things I have learned about fashion as I've grown up, it is that rules are made to be broken when it comes to fashion. Black and blue can sometimes look great together! Mixing prints can be utterly sublime when mastered (something I fear I won't ever figure out)! "Flood pants" are now the ever popular cropped pants! And, if you want to wear all white after Labor Day, then go ahead!
The thing to keep in mind when you are breaking the rules, is that your confidence is key. You could be walking down the street in a trash bag, but as long as you are rocking it with the confidence that you've never looked better, then it doesn't matter that you aren't following the normal rules of fashion. That is the beauty of fashion! You can make any statement you want, whether it be understated, or in your face.
This week, I decided to break the rule by rocking an all white look after Labor day! I will admit that at first, I was a bit hesitant to do this. All white is a standout look, even if it is technically "in season". However, after my initial qualms, I pushed those pesky doubts out of my head, instead choosing to focus on the fact that I looked and felt great in what I was wearing. If anyone didn't like it, then that would be their problem, and I don't plan on ever letting it bother me!

The clutch I have in this post my sister got me as a birthday present from an outlet store. If you head to Poshmark, there are a few people selling the same one for amazing prices! I linked one of them below!!
