Pop of Plaid
If you follow me on Instagram, or just know me in real life, then you have seen the coat I am wearing in this week’s post quite a few times! I picked up on my last trip to Boston from the Nordstrom Rack in Back Bay, and it was quite the steal. The coat would have originally sold for over $500, but I picked it up for under $170! Just goes to show that sometimes digging through the racks at discount stores can be totally worth it.
Unfortunately, one of the biggest downsides of me buying a lot of my clothes at discounted stores like Nordstrom Rack, or at sample sales, is that it makes it hard for me to find the exact pieces for me to share with you. I’ve scoured the internet to try and find this particular coat for all of you, but I came up a little short. I did manage to find the same coat on another website, but it only comes in petites, and is a bit more expensive. If I haven’t lost you yet, then you can find the link to shop the coat down below!
On another note for you all…In my years of blogging and overall just dressing myself (~4 years blogging, ~27 dressing myself), the one thing I have learned that is the most important part of any outfit is how you feel in it. If you feel comfortable and that you look like a million bucks, that will show through. Confidence is truly the best accessory! For this week’s look, I stuck with some classics I know I love - a pleated midi skirt, a monochrome NAVY outfit, comfortable yet stylish heels. These are things that I know look good, but most importantly I know I feel confident wearing. Add in my new coat, which gets compliments left and right and I’ve got the perfect outfit/vibe going! You can probably tell I was feeling this overall look based on the amount of pictures posted below (sorry, not sorry (do people say this anymore??))!
